Honda recently announced that they will be discontinuing the manufacture of their lawnmower division. What’s going to replace it? You’ll have to look at the video and find out. There would be a lot of factors to ultimately remove oneself from the lawn mowing manufacturing business, the rise of more electric mowers, more competition in the marketplace, more and more strict sound ordinances, harder to meet emission standards, just to name a few.
Honda will phase out production in 2023 and continue to sell their mowers until inventory is gone in 2024. Their plan is to continue making the GX motors, pumps and so on, and will continue to support the mowers through Honda parts.
