Lawn Care Tips For Your Lawn Mower
Until the 1860s, the only way to mow your lawn was to rely on human power. The first mowers were walk-behind and used a flat tray for grass, and then slowly evolved into the ride-on mowers we know today. In 1893, James Sumner patented a steam-powered mower. The first steam-powered mower used petrol or paraffin to cut grass, but it took many hours to warm up and turn on. Later, the steam mower was marketed by the Stott Fertilizer and Insecticide Company.
