Hey guys it's Eric here at farpoint Farms check it out vavor good company to Work with they have sent me a plasma Cutter which I was desperately in need Of for the bus project which is Happening on my other channel just a Little bit off frame here this is a a Pretty cool tool doesn't require a ton Of juice you can run it off at 220 or 110. so what I'm going to do is through The magic of video editing I'm going to Unbox this thing we'll lay it up on here We'll get a little closer and we'll take A look and then maybe we'll burn through Some steel let's do it all right well Here it is all set up It's the vavor Cut-50 and it's very compact I was a Little surprised that its size weighs About maybe 20 pounds give or take We have our ground clamp here good long I'd say a nine foot cord on that then a Really long cutting Cord this thing I'd say is probably 15 Feet at least Nice carrying handle on the top and a Place to store your equipment when You're not using it on the side here you Can see just says above over And it's got some vents on both sides There and on the back here I've got all This set up now too but on off switch we Have an air regulator that it comes with You have two choices that gave me enough
Hose I could do this you could run a Hose off of this and have an extension To go into an airline for me I have Airlines that wind out so I just went Ahead and put an air fitting directly on The regulator and you can see it has a Place for water condensation to collect That goes in there there's also a fan Here in the back so really nice there The main unit Just a click Start Does have a collector around there to Hold on to things and then our tips it Came with some spares Came with two spares plus the the rods In the center for it so not bad there so It does come with a 220 plug obviously You're going to get a better cut with 220 but it does have a 110 adapter which Is really nice So for today even though I do have 220 In the shop I'll be using the 110 Because I want to run this thing outside Clearly if you're going to operate Something like this you're going to want To use a mask you know and so I do have One of those and some gloves because According to the manual it puts out just Shy of 20 000 degrees worth of heat Which is about right because you're Going to have to burn through some steel Some metal and so you need that Obviously there's a lot of warnings in The manual but before I even get to that
I will point out that it did come with Everything you need to get this thing Set up it came with closed clamps it Came with hose it even came with uh Plumber's tape so the machine itself has This nice manual It's entirely in English and it is 20 Pages long or 19 pages long Has some cutting thickness charts in it Has troubleshooting And uh and even has like some some hints On how to cut properly which I think Kind of nice because I've never operated A plasma machine before I've seen them In use but this is the first one I've Ever owned so there's definitely going To be a learning curve here But overall yeah it's pretty nice up on Top it does have the uh some like Warnings about electrocution obviously You never want to touch both electrodes At the same time or you get to find out What it's like to meet Jesus but short Of that probably a lot of risk of Burns And blinding so not a toy by any means Not a toy at all Now let's go ahead what I'm going to do Now is I'm going to roll this thing Outside or just to the edge of the Garage I've got some scrap steel and We're just going to wrap this video up By burning uh right through something I Don't know some piece of scrap that we Have laying around here and that'll wrap
It up I'll leave a link of course to Where you can find one of these things And get it on your own but it's a pretty Cool little device and very low cost Like it's amazing that technology has Come down for both welding equipment and And cutting equipment like this so Really cool let's do it okay so I've got The air hooked up to it now go ahead and Flip the switch on Thank you And we have some cutting stuff here 14 Millimeter steel at 65 PSI 10 to 12 millimeter at 60 and so on and So forth plus we have our amperage so Right now the amperage is all the way Down We can roll that up I'll put it I'll put it right around 40 for right Now And I'll set the air and we are ready to Give it a shot [Music] Foreign Perfectly Um the issue that we're having is Operator error like you know I'm an Amateur at this so me and Jen are out Here trying to figure out exactly how to Work this thing but I mean look at it it's burning through That's good sized steel right there Without any issues whatsoever so I am Super happy with that that's the vovor
Cut 50 plasma cutter they do offer one So a few bucks more that's a touchless But uh I figured for us this this is This is a good way to get started Learning how to do proper cutting and Welding using these cool welder and now This cool plasma cutter from before like I said before I'll leave a link in the Description below as to where you can Get one of these yourself and thanks to Babor for sending this my way I Appreciate it take care
