
We brought home a mess of Poplar logs for the sawmill. I used my lawn mower (garden tractor) to skid the logs off the truck and trailer with ease.

I have used them heavily and they hold up well.
You can skid logs with a lawn mower if you are not careful and just ease them off. Dont jerk the mower or pop the clutch out with the engine running on high speed. Just keep it slow and in a low gear and gently slide the logs off the truck or trailer.
I have also skidded logs out of the forest the same way, one at a time.
