This simple how to video shows how to modify, strengthen and beef up a lawn and garden tractor snow plow or dozer blade mounting bracket. This fix will make your used riding lawn mower blade stronger and sturdier without welding. This mod will work on John Deere, Cub Cadet, Husqvarna, Craftsman, or just about any riding mower with a dozer blade for pushing snow, dirt or sand and gravel. MTD makes most garden tractors and lawn tractors like Toro, Lawn Boy, Dynamark, Sears and low end (non-commercial) John Deere tractors. So this hack will most likely work on most brands and models. You should be able to buy the chain and bolts at Lowe’s, Home Depot, Menard’s or where ever you buy riding lawn mowers or where you buy a snow blade for lawn tractors. However be careful when pushing dirt, sand or plowing the driveway and sidewalks, not to over work the transition. If your tractor has the tuff torq k46 trans axle you may have to rebuild or replace the transaxle. Or you could always buy snowblowers. Good luck and have fun.
