As things settle over at the studios of the new WMRI Legends station, I thought I’d put out this video discussing building the dream team that Ted, Holly and the crew built up.
It’s really cool to hear so many true legends of radio all under one umbrella!

I'm coming in loud and clear might hear Me on the radio We have What I consider to be The absolute cream of the crop On the radio and what I mean by that is I mean all of them have major market Experience I mean Big Jim Edwards Working at cklw in Detroit khjj Los Angeles w o r in New York City and and The WLS in Chicago Um Steve Hunter was on cklw I listened to Him as I said as a kid and I drove Around talk of course I listened to Big Jim Edwards on the big eight too you Know but then Steve comes to to work Here and he's on the air on Friday Nights uh Steve Taylor was like I guess number one In Atlanta on one of the FMS down there For a number of years and he does Monday Nights and I have to kind of keep up With this now Tuesday nights Dave Mason Is on now Dave did he worked at K Earth In Los Angeles and he's worked around Different places Um Dan Collins is another one and Dan is Constantly coming up with all kinds of Crazy stuff on the air he's really good At what he does and you know you can you Combine the talents of all these people And uh each night they're on you know

And you tune in and listen and you're Totally entertained by it you know and Who would expect to find that on Sharkway who would expect to find that Along with American rock and roll music On a radio station that covers the Entire you know planning practically you Know and I would have to say that that's Probably You know the the best reason I would Have to say that makes a thing of fun But then again The opportunity to share the gospel on The air along with the rock and roll and Giving people something they need you Know and we're not connected we're not Connected with any sort of religious Organization or church when we're on the Air I'm not shutting on the number two Transmitter and uh but that I think is Something that makes it It makes it something that's very Worthwhile doing because we live in a World today where people are hurting and They've got tons of problems you know And sometimes Tuning in the radio and they're hearing Their favorite songs and they're hearing Some disc jockey cut up on the air That's all they need to put them in a Better mood and I think if we can do That we've done something And the music we play is all upbeat Feel good

You know tap your toe That's what people mean yeah yeah I Think you forgot Jeff Lawrence oh yeah Oh listen this guy this guy is Absolutely incredible uh I was doing six nights a week on this Station and I get this email from a guy And he said would you consider having Somebody help you by doing maybe some Voice Talent OR Voice work And I thought boy that would be really Nice you know but then on the other hand I was dreading it because I gotten some Stuff like that before and it was kind Of like you know you're listening to Wtww and I thought you know I am I going To get up but this he sends me This file And there's this laser shot or something At the beginning and it was obviously a Production piece from a library I Couldn't afford you know I mean it was Really Top Flight stuff and then this Voice comes up Miles of wires and thousands of holes Well it was like this heavy deep voice It made excuse me wild Dean and WLS Sound like a soprano okay and I guess I thought to myself what is this Guy doing offering us his services You know and then the next thing you Know he's doing all of our sweepers all Of our jingles And he's doing Saturday nights on the

Station But you had a dream of you had a vision But that is weird I I did I had a dream And this is this is this is a real I have a dream That Myself and a few of the other guys had Found an FM station somewhere or a radio Station I won't say FM I don't know what It was and we all came in and we pulled All the people together that used to Work in rock and roll radio see klw Station now all the people that were There and and and and more and then I I Had the dream continued To where There was some Hollywood producer that Wanted to make a movie of this and show These old guys and I call ourselves old Guys all of us senior citizens on the Radio playing rock and roll and trying To hit on the female collars to the Radio station and all the different Things that you could build on that and You know I I had that dream the second Part does not happen again okay No Hollywood producer has been knocking On the door this might be as close as Y'all get to that I'm not sure Okay
